BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER APPLICATION AND USES

Computer are the most important programmable digital electro mechanical devices that accept data, stores it to do some arithmetic and logical manipulation and gives out the answer quickly in very short time (million and billion time faster) than human being. In other words, a computer is a digital electro-mechanical device that reads, stores and processes data to produce meaningful information as output.

Each letter of computer may stand for the following: 

C = Commonly 

O = Operating 

M = Machine

P = Personal

U = Used for

T = Technical

E = Education

R = Research

They are technological devices, consisting of a hard disk, drive, modern, monitor, processor and other important component. Charle's Babbage is known as "Father of computer", he was British Mathematician, inspired by Napier's logarithm and designed a machine named 'Analytical machine' by using automatic loop. 

USES : 

• A Computer can do complex calculation rapidly with high accuracy.
• It can do a lot of task at a time in very short time interval.

• It can also be used in telecommunications, for reservation of railways an air ticketing. 
• To establish satellite in suitable orbit of the earth.
• A super computer can be used in sending satellite away from the earth to other planets. 
• A super computer can collect and send important informations with photographs from other planets whenever it is present there.
• It gives location, direction and other information about the place, roads and railways lines. 
• It can collect and show reading materials of infinite journals and reference books. 
• It can give any information in a few seconds.
• It is used for household shopping items.

• Computer provides security, speed and convenience hence it is used for E-commerce and E-banking. So all financial transactions are made by computer software through the banks.

• Audio-video composition and editing have been made much easier by computers. 
• You can diagnose diseases. Software is used in magnetic resonance imaging to examine the internal organs of the human body and also for performing surgery whenever needed.
